Christmas 2013

Christmas is way better with kids.  They seriously do make it magical.  A tradition I had growing up, that my family will keep doing is pajamas on Christmas Eve.

Then comes Christmas morning... Jason and I were so excited for Crew to open his presents.  He was so spoiled.  He probably like the empty boxes more than the actual gifts though.

On December 26th we went up to my parents house in Aurora to celebrate with some of my family.

The next day was probably the highlight of every one's trip.  We went to my cousin's farm.  Becky and Dusty Ross own a farm in Sigurd and Crew and his cousin Dylan had a blast!

Feeding the horses

Riding the horses

In with the goats

 Milking the goats

Then they pulled out their tractor so we could take Crew for a ride... better than Disneyland.

Such a fun fun day.  We will go to their farm again next time we are up visiting my family.  That night my Parents gave my boys matching Christmas pajama's that say, "Best Gift Ever".  They really are our best give ever.  We love them to pieces!

Tubes for Crew

Crew has had so many ear infections since he was about 6 months old.  His body doesn't even respond to amoxicillin.  We always have to start off with a stronger antibiotic.  So this fall when he started getting them frequently again we went and talked to an EN&T Doctor in our ward.  We put tubes in his ears on December 20th.  I knew it was a simple, standard procedure, but I was still nervous.  Just being put under anesthesia scared me.  Everything went great, and he seems much happier with no more ear infections.

These two pics are as we was waking up.  He was such a funny kid.

Decoarting for Christmas

I seriously can not believe Christmas is one month from today.  This year has flown by.  It's all kinda a blur, and it feels like every day is ground hogs day.  I am going through a really hard time right now with some personal issues, and I really didn't feel like decorating our house.  For one thing it's so small, our living room is taken over with every toy you can think of.  We don't have much space, so I just kept thinking how we can decorate next year once we are in our own home.  Yesterday after church Jason mentions that he can move a few things to the guest room so the tree can go right here, and points next to the TV.  I didn't skip a beat and I said, "Ya, that sounds good, I was thinking the same thing" He was floored.  He said, "I was kinda joking, kinda serious, I didn't think you would go for it"  So he jumped on the chance and went and dug our Christmas tree and decorations out of storage.  I'm so glad we pulled it out, I needed to feel the Christmas spirit in our home.  Watching Crew get so excited putting up the tree and trying to decorate was priceless, and I almost missed out on these memories by my own selfish reasons.  Crew would bring the bulbs over and try and hang them on the tree.  Next year I want to have a little tree he can decorate all on his own!

So after the tree had been up for a few hours I hear Jason say, "No Crew, take Mommy's shoes out of the tree!".... hahahahaha
We are constantly picking up bulbs from the ground, but it's all part of the memories.  I am excited to see Crew's reaction to what Santa brings!
