Christmas 2012

We started out our Christmas by going up to my parents house in Aurora Utah, and having a family party on Dec 22.  My family gets together as everyone, maybe once a year, so I was so excited to see my siblings.  Well it turned out Topher and Whitney couldn't get work off so my whole family was not together but we still had a fun time.

We went sledding up in the hills behind my Mom's house.  This was Crew's first time in the snow! First time sledding.  It made it feel more like Christmas going and playing in the snow for the day.

Crew looked like a big blue marshmallow!!

We let him go down a small hill by himself like this...

Brooklyn, a pink marshmallow!

Boston was fearless... He wrecked so many times but he would get right back up!

JJ just being silly in the snow.

After we went sledding we went home and got ready for family pictures.  My cousin Lana came and took a few pictures for us.

I love how our pictures turned out, just wish Toph and Whitney could have been in them!

After freezing our booties off we went home and my Mom had made an amazing prime rib dinner, then we opened gifts.  This is Crew opening his first present.  He was more excited over the paper than the actual gifts.

On Christmas morning Jason and I woke up and did our own little Christmas.  Jason made me homemade buttermilk waffles and apricot syrup.  I love breakfast, wish my hubby loved it too!

This is what Santa brought Crew this year... a little "Lightning McQueen" rocker!

We went over to his parents home and opened gifts with his family, then Linda made a yummy dinner for everyone.  We did a family picture with the Trask's too!

Crew loves the camera! He gets that from his Dad.  He smiled perfectly in all his pictures!

Just a few candid shots from Christmas Day...
Grandma Trask holding Crew face!

Bailee holding a little puppy!

Papa Trask with Eva, she is such a doll face!  Papa Trask is such a good "Papa" all the grandkids want to be with him!

This picture doesn't do it justice.  Jason and his Dad made these 3D snowflakes and had them hanging from the ceiling.  So fun.

It was a very good Christmas, being with our families.  We are extremely blessed.  We are so looking forward to the new year!

We're expanding...

We are so excited to welcome a new addition to our family on July 3rd!
I am almost 12 weeks along and have felt pretty blessed to not be too sick.  When I was pregnant with Crew I was on the couch from like week 7 to 13, and with this pregnancy I have felt a lot better.  I was really nervous to go to our 10 week appointment because I was afraid we had already lost it.  We did an ultrasound and we were able to see the heartbeat, which is so amazing, and then the next 3 days I was dead on the couch. I get nauseous at nighttime, but have been able to work for the most part.   I am so looking forward to our next baby appointment so we can hear the heartbeat.
I am so blessed with such an amazing husband.  He has been getting up more than me during the night and taking care of Crew with feeding and diaper changes.  I love him so much.
We should be finding out the sex of our baby the first part of February.  My babies will be 15 months apart so we are looking forward to the crazy, fun times ahead.

This is how we announced to both of our families, just had Crew wear this shirt...

I love my little family so much, I am one lucky girl.  I love my two boys.

Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving this year was with my family.  My Grandma Marlene recently found out that after 7 years  her breast cancer had returned.  Because she had already had radiation in the past they had to do a mastectomy.  She was still recovering from her surgery, but my Mom wanted to be with her Mom for the holiday.  So we held Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma's house.  So Grandma and Grandpa Norm, my Parents, Carolyn and Dan, Toph and Whitney, and JJ were the ones to make it this year.  It was fun to have Jason's sister Heather, and her hubby Brandon, and their cute family join us for Turkey day.  My Mom has to make everything herself, which the food is amazing, but she really needs to ask for help!  Thanks so much to Heather for taking some candid pictures of that day!

Me and my handsome little devil...

My Mom slaving away in the kitchen with Grandpa Norm.

Grandpa Kelly holding Crew and Eva, who are 1 day apart.

Toph with baby Eva... she is seriously so perfect!  She always has the cutest leg warmers on!

Dan deep fried a turkey, amazing!  I could get used to this every year!

My Mom's turkey she made...

Whitney holding Eva, probably thinking of her little girl who will be here March 2013!

The men watching football... It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without some football!

My family so tired and beyond full, ready to go home and go night night!

My Mom's homemade apple pie... probably the best pie I have ever tried.

It was a pretty simple lazy day.  Well lazy for me.  My Mom did all the cooking and my Dad did the dishes.  So not so lazy for them!  Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.  Family and Food!  My two loves.  I am so grateful for Jason and Crew, and our new addition on the way!  We are so blessed, and have so many blessings to be thankful for.

Halloween

Crew's first halloween!! It was super simple, and super fun!  My friend Lara let me borrow her son's tiger costume, and Auntie B helped me paint his face.  He looked so handsome!  We took him trick or treating during the day at SkyWest.  Auntie Brittany, Heather, Tiffany and Mallory and their kids came so it was fun!  Crew loves being around his cousins.  That evening we went to our Ward's trunk or treat and Chili cook off!

Pumpkin Babies...

Last year my cousin Lana posted a picture of her baby in a pumpkin, and I loved it.  So I knew I wanted to try and do the same thing with Crew this year.
Jason and I went to Wal-Mart and found 5 of the biggest pumpkins we could find so that the 5 youngest babies on Jason's side could have "pumpkin pictures".  We invited everyone over and made a mass quantity of spaghetti, salad, and garlic bread.  I found a new recipe "Death by Oreo" cupcakes, so we made them for dessert.  Then off to carving pumpkins.  I am pretty sure my son was the worst, so the pictures were not a success... But they are memories we will never forget.  Happy Halloween.

We tried to put Crew in there one more time... No dice.  He hated the pumpkin!
