Birthday Weekend

I was pretty much freaking out about turning 35... I just don't like how it sounds.  I don't feel or look 35, but I am getting old.  Okay I take that back, with my boys this close together in age, I definitely feel my age.  Jason planned a fun birthday getaway to help me forget about the number.  We flew into Cancun Mexico and took a twenty minute boat ride over to an little 5 mile island called Isla de Mujeres.  We stayed in a Worldmark hotel there for 3 nights.  It was divine.  Such a fun vacation.  Beach, street tacos, more beach, and more street tacos.  We base our vacations around food.  We received massages on the beach for $25.  We rented a golf cart for transportation.  I am grateful for the ability to fly and travel and see the world.  We could definitely go back to this island.

Fish Tacos with Mango salsa

This was a little hole in the wall restaurant where the locals would eat.  They cooked our food in the kitchen...

But it tasted divine...

The color of the water is so gorgeous

Everyone is driving around the island on golf carts

More street tacos

They just cut the meat right there in front of you

Preschool Graduation

Crew graduated his first year of preschool.  He went to Miss Andrea's school Puddle Jumpers.  I can't say enough good things about her preschool.  Crew absolutely loved his first year.  Dropping him off at school he would rarely turn back and wave good bye, he would just walk in her house.  She does it out of her home here in Bloomington.  So the few times he would actually turn back and wave, or tell his brothers he loves them and he is going to miss them, I would totally tear up.  I have turned into my Grandma and cry over everything.
They were constantly making crafts and bringing home cute things to hang on our fridge.  Well over Valentine's Day they decorated cute paper bags and they put their valentines in them.  Well his got thrashed and I just threw it away.  I tend to throw everything away.  Well the next day Crew was asking for his bag and when I told him I threw it away and it was the end of the world.  He cried and cried and cried.  So I ended up asking Miss Andrea if she had an extra bag I could buy from her so we could make an extra bag to hang on our fridge.  Thank heavens she did.  He was so happy making the bag again.  It was a valuable lesson I learned to not throw anything away.
Graduation day came and she had them in caps and gown, and put on that graduation song.  Crew was the last one to come down the isle, and as I saw him in his miniature cap and gown, I got all emotional and teared up.  It came out of no where! He is getting so big.  I still laugh when I think about it because it was his first year of preschool, he has a whole other year before he even starts kindergarten.

Crew is front row on the left.  They sang a few songs for us, it was adorable.

He did not want his picture taken.  He was lucky enough to have two of his cousins in his preschool, Brielle and Claire.

Everyday when I dropped Crew off at school (Which was only twice a week) Kade would start crying because he wanted to go to school with him.  He would cry saying, "I go, I go" so I am really looking forward to the fall when Crew and Kade will get to go to school together, and they are going to go three days a week!

Colton is ONE...

Just like that our baby is one year old! Hands down the most sleep deprived year yet, but they grow up so fast, maybe one day we will sleep again.

Colton loves his brothers.  He lights up when he sees them.  He loves food.  He just wants to be big like his brothers.  He is really close to walking.  He has taken a few steps.  He loves getting into kitchen and bathroom cabinets.  His smile and laugh are my favorite.  He smiles and his eyes disappear.  I can't imagine our family without little Colty Colt.  He brings so much joy.

Since we were doing a one year photo shoot for him, why not do a family photo shoot as well.  I have a client who is trying to get into photography so she practiced on my family.  I love them so much!

I just look at these pictures and I feel so blessed.  I feel so lucky to be their Mama!
